Concept
The iDrive combines the functions of many switches. These functions can be operated via the Controller.

Only use the systems or devices when the traffic situation allows. As warranted, stop and use the systems and devices while the vehicle is stationary.

Operation
The Park Distance Control system is enabled in the following situations:
If drive position R reverse gear is engaged when driving readiness is
switched on.
If the parking assistance button in the switch block next to the
controller is pressed
when driving readiness is switched on.

Parking Maneuvering Assistant
The Parking Maneuvering Assistant (PMA) supports the driver in many ways. The
assistant measures
the size of a gap between cars and decides, based on the result, whether the gap
is large enough to
accommodate the vehicle. It also relieves the driver of the task of maneuvering
into the space.
