BMW 5 Series: Quick search
Concept
Depending on the equipment, Points of Interest and addresses can be searched for by entering a sequence of letters or by searching in the navigation data stored in the vehicle.
All entries are displayed that include this text string.
General information
It is possible to search simultaneously by town/ city and street. To do this, enter a text string for the town/city, then a blank space and a text string for the street name.
Calling up quick search
1. 
Press the button on the
Controller.
2. 
"Where to?"
3. Enter at least two letters or characters.
The search term may be completed automatically in gray print.
Move the controller up to apply the suggested search term.
4. 
Select the symbol, if needed.
Results are displayed in a list.
For vehicles with charging socket: charging station display.
5. "Search location": select search location.
6. Move the Controller to the right.
7. Select desired destination.

General information
The home address must be created to apply it as
a destination.
Defining the home address
1. Press the button on the
Controller.
2. "Set home address".
3. Enter the address.

Auto PDC
On the G30, Auto PDC is activated automatically if the vehicle is approaching
an object at a speed
below approximately 3 mph (5 km/h) and the object is located in a
collision-critical area. The Auto PDC
function is available for both the front and rear of the vehicle.
