Concept
The Steptronic transmission combines the functions of an automatic transmission with the possibility of manual shifting, if needed.
Safety information
Warning
An unsecured vehicle can begin to move and possibly roll away. There is a risk of accident.
Before exiting, secure the vehicle against rolling.
In order to ensure that the vehicle is secured against rolling away, follow the following:
- Set the parking brake.
- On uphill grades or on a downhill slope, turn the front wheels in the direction of the curb.
- On uphill grades or on a downhill slope, also secure the vehicle, for instance with a wheel chock.

style. The transmission, for instance shifts up
later and the shifting times are shorter.

The B46/B58 engines have two separate coolant circuits. The coolant in the
low-temperature coolant
circuit to cool the charge air. The coolant in the high-temperature coolant
circuit to cool the engine.
The two coolant circuits each have their own expansion tank.
